God of War Laufey is now available to pre-order for PS5 ahead of its 16 February 2027 launch. Pre-orders opened on 29 September in two editions: Standard at $69.99 and Digital Deluxe at $79.99. On 13 October Sony added a third purchase: a limited Collector Box at €149.99 / $149.99, which does not include the game.
For PS5 owners, the main thing to know is that the Collector Box is a set of physical extras, not a collector's edition of the game. Anyone who wants the statue and the game together has to buy them separately.
| Edition | Price | What you get |
|---|---|---|
| Standard | $69.99 (US) | The game, plus the pre-order bonus |
| Digital Deluxe | $79.99 (US) | The game, pre-order bonus, Dark Alchemy gear set, artbook, soundtrack |
| Collector Box | €149.99 / $149.99 | Statue, card deck, physical artbook — no game |
The pre-order bonus applies to both editions, including the physical Standard Edition, where it comes as a download code: the Last Wish Armor Set, the cosmetic Phranque Golden Leaves appearance and an in-game resource pack. Redeeming the code needs an internet connection and a PSN account. As already announced, the game is coming on disc as well as digitally; our earlier piece on Laufey's disc release has the background.
For $10 more in the US, the Digital Deluxe Edition adds a Dark Alchemy set (armour, blade, bow scales and a Catalyst), a second resource pack, a digital mini artbook and the official soundtrack. Sony notes that the Dark Alchemy items unlock through story progression, so they will not appear the moment you start the game.
That is a cosmetic and convenience bundle, not extra story content. If the artbook and soundtrack do not matter to you, the Standard Edition gives you the same game.
The Collector Box went up for pre-order on 13 October and is sold only directly by PlayStation, in what Sony calls highly limited quantities. It contains:
In the UK and nine EU countries, including Germany, Austria, France and Spain, it is listed on PlayStation's own hardware store; in the US it is on PlayStation Direct. It also ships on 16 February 2027, so the statue and the game arrive together, as long as you have ordered both.
Alongside the editions, the studio used the announcement to explain how Faye fights with the Serpent Bow. Push Square also covered the bow in its report. Full aim gives longer, more precise shots and lets Faye stack up to five arrows into a volley; half aim is a mobile hip-fire mode that sprays a cluster of arrows at close range and keeps airborne enemies juggled. Arrow types include rapid-fire, explosive and multi-target, and Serpent Scales change the bow's look while adding a perk.
That is still the only part of the combat Sony has detailed at length. Release timing and the wider story set-up are covered in our release date report.
Nothing here forces an early decision on the game itself. Digital pre-orders can be placed any time before launch, and the bonus is tied to pre-ordering, not to a date. The Collector Box is the exception, because limited stock is the one reason to act early.
God of War Laufey costs $69.99 at Standard and $79.99 for a Deluxe Edition in the US that adds cosmetics and extras, not content. The €149.99 Collector Box is a statue, a card deck and an artbook with no game in the box. Buy it only if you want the statue, and only alongside a copy of the game.
